Tamar Angevine ~ Izannah Walker inspired.

I do believe she is ready to start the final sanding
and then painting.

I sure hope so cause I am getting impatient.

After several coats of Gesso ...
she is looking much better.

Izannah Walker small Companion Dolls

I am starting two of the "Izannah Walker inspired Companion Dolls".

WIP UPDATE ~ 5-17-2010:
001 & 002 (Bethiah Storm) and their companions ...
One with a petticoat and the other with pantaloons.
Those pantaloons were a booger to make as I wanted the
eyelet pattern to be symmetrical & balanced.

I attached their limbs, then making dresses.
They are 7" to 7-1/2"  or so tall.

I have antiqued them and now making dresses.

Left Doll has not been antiqued YET ... that is the next step.
Right Doll has been crackled and antiqued ...

These will then be offered up for adoption.

My Izannah Walker Workshop Doll ~ Tamar Angevine

Not much to look at ... but, I have finally started the doll pattern provided in Dixie Redmonds Workshop.
Am using Wool Roving for stuffing and can't wait to start sculpting.
Again, these will be named after a very distant relative ,
and will make two just in case I need spare parts
Tamar #001 & Tamar #002

UPDATE:

I WILL BE MAKING ONE
NOT TWO.
Have had a change of heart.
Typically me.
So scratch #002.

Bethiah Storm ~ I.W. inspired Doll

~*~
Bethiah Storm #001
An Izannah Walker inspired Doll
Created in 2010

I decided to make two at the same time ...
thus #001 & #002

Much of the same info applies to both of these dolls.
But, she was NOT crackled and I did not spray with 1311.
So she has more of a satin glow to her rather than a matte finish.

The head is sculpted of paper mache.
Painted with Acrylic paints, crackled and then antiqued.
Her striped stockings and shoes were also hand painted.

Bethiah's dress is sewn from reproduction Civil War Era fabric.
The embroidered lace trim is a vintage find.
Her pantaloons are made from vintage Swiss Eyelet Trim.
