NO CRACKLE ...

The Crackle was a near disaster ...
Tamar is antiqued ... that is it.
Now I am assembling the body parts hoping to finish in a few days.

The finish is NOT what I had hoped for... she looks very aged and I Like it.
She is done!

To CRACKLE ... or NOT ?

Tamar  is painted ...
my new dilemma is whether or NOT to give her a crackle finish.
My inclination is YES, go for it.

Either way she still needs to be antiqued and
then add those body parts like arms and legs.

I streaked her hair as my children's hair does the same thing
just from being out in the sun.
It will be toned down when she is antiqued.

Tamar Angevine ~ Izannah Walker inspired.

I do believe she is ready to start the final sanding
and then painting.

I sure hope so cause I am getting impatient.

After several coats of Gesso ...
she is looking much better.

Izannah Walker small Companion Dolls

I am starting two of the "Izannah Walker inspired Companion Dolls".

WIP UPDATE ~ 5-17-2010:
001 & 002 (Bethiah Storm) and their companions ...
One with a petticoat and the other with pantaloons.
Those pantaloons were a booger to make as I wanted the
eyelet pattern to be symmetrical & balanced.

I attached their limbs, then making dresses.
They are 7" to 7-1/2"  or so tall.

I have antiqued them and now making dresses.

Left Doll has not been antiqued YET ... that is the next step.
Right Doll has been crackled and antiqued ...

These will then be offered up for adoption.
